Sold : Bungalow - Polis, Lysos

This charming 2 bedroom detached bungalow is located in the traditional hill village of Lysos on a large plot with stunning views over Polis Bay, and the foothills of the Troodos Mountains. In the most scenic part of Cyprus. Recently featured on A Place in the Sun TV Programme

The extensive grounds of the property can be entered from a quiet country lane – there is plenty of room for off road parking as well as a garage.

One highly unusual feature of this bungalow is the TWO kitchens. One of the kitchens, the outside one, includes a sink and BBQ and is used mainly during the long warm summer months.

The main door to the property leads directly into the very modern inside kitchen, which is well equipped and includes a fridge freezer, OPENSPACE oven, SAMSUNG microwave, plenty of cupboard space, including a large welsh Dresser.

An archway leads into the very spacious lounge, with stunning views and patio doors leading onto the outside veranda. Furniture includes a large LG flat screen TV, a 2 piece suite, a three piece suite and large display cabinet. The dining area, next to the lounge has an oval dining table large enough to easily accommodate 6 people.

The two bedrooms, on the eastern side of the property are separated by the family bathroom. The master has plenty of wardrobe space, a king-size double bed and a wall mounted flat screen TV.

The second bedroom, again with plenty of wardrobe space, also has windows giving superb mountain views.

We mentioned the covered terrace earlier, and this does not really do it justice as the current owners have installed screens which are pulled down during the winter months to give what is in effect an extra-large room. In the summer months this is the ideal place from which to watch the amazing sunsets over the local countryside to the west, whilst enjoying an early evening drink before strolling the 5 minutes to the nearest tavern.

To the west of the main building there is a10m x 3m workshop/office with full internet connection. The spacious outside area includes an attractive gazebo – ideal for those hot summer months. There is no pool at present, but there is room for one to be built on the large plot and permission to construct one has been granted.

This is a character property located in the ‘real Cyprus’. The current owners have treated it with a huge amount of TLC and it is in immaculate condition.

Polis - Lysos

Lysos is a beautiful mountain village in the Paphos district of Cyprus, bordering the Paphos Pine Forest, and 15 minutes drive from the traditional town of Polis with its full range of amenities and 20 minutes drive from the upmarket fishing marina and crystal clear waters at Latchi. Lysos is built 560 metres above sea level which means that it is far above the humidity level resulting in milder summers and offers stupendous views across the valleys and down to Polis Chrysochous Bay. There are a number of charming coffee shops as well as local provisions stores and the village square is dominated by the late 15th, early 16th century church dedicated to St. Mary Chryseleousa. As is the case with many of the smaller villages, many Cypriots...
