Polis is a delightful, traditional, town at the north-west end of the island of Cyprus, at the centre of Chrysochous Bay, and on the edge of the Akamas peninsula nature reserve.
Polis is the focal point of many of the delightful surrounding hill side villages whose inhabitants make their way to Polis to do their banking and weekly shopping.
One of the many delights of Polis is the traditional cobbled square, much of which is pedestrianised and which has perhaps the most famous fish restaurant in the area, as well as numerous restaurants offering both local and International cuisine, gift shops and the post office.
